All about Holiday Homes...

So you’ve got your annual holiday coming up – and why not stay in the UK? After last year’s weather, I’m banking on spending my time in St Ives – where 25 of us go every year for a week of MADNESS.

Of course, with the nature of our business and being interior designers and property developers, we have standards. But it honestly doesn’t cost much to improve the look of a home from basic to luxury.

My Inspirations:

WACKY COLOURS

Salcombe Finest – The luxury holiday home company building a fantastic portfolio of high-end, beautiful interiors and breath-taking locations in and around Salcombe.

Leads me onto this property for rental: Smugglers

Who said you can’t use colour by the seaside?

NATURAL MATERIALS

Last year in St Ives we stayed in the gorgeous pad, just off the ‘Digey’ near Porthmeor. Fab location. Fab interiors. Really well equipped. Did I mention the location!

The owners had made sure they left the natural elements of the Cornish cottage well-preserved; natural stone, slate tiles, solid oak beams – glorious!

DECENT PHOTOGRAPHY

There is nothing worse than poorly taken photos. Particularly in this day and age when online is paramount to holiday lettings and reputation.

Introducing: Unique Home Stays.  I often find myself browsing through their properties for sheer pleasure. It is honestly one of THE letting websites. Ok, so it isn’t budget – but if you ever get the chance to stay in any of their gaffs – you won’t regret it. I’ve got my eye on this one in Dartmouth….
