"One sunny afternoon I was visiting a farm to gather reference photos. I was near the barn when I noticed this shy bullock staring at me from the shadows inside. Beams of light were falling on one side of his face, throwing the other side into shadow. The resulting painting is quite dramatic, yet has a softness to it."
